Ex-maid of honor Eloise (Anna Kendrick) – having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text – decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend’s wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the ‘random’ table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets (but not before sending something nice off the registry). As everyone’s secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Friendships – and even a little romance – can happen under the most unlikely circumstances.

Reviewer’s thoughts:

Table 19 was a beautiful example of how just one day can change the course of someone’s entire life. Sometimes, just one day is all it takes. The film features a fantastic group of misfits all at a cross roads in their lives, all simultaneously lovable and flawed. The cast was epically formed, and all gave great performances. I loved that the story kept audiences on its toes trying to determine if the main character’s love interest was good or bad. It realistically portrayed that love is complicated and never black or white.

Table 19 was also an incredible tale of newfound friendship, and finding friends in the most unlikely situations. Each character is so vastly different – from an ex-con to an old nanny to an awkward, isolated teenager, but the bond they formed in such a short period of time was endearing and even inspiring. There’s humor, heartache, triumph and more. I highly recommend the film!

Table 19 hits theaters nationwide TODAY, Friday, March 3rd!
