Title: “The Holiday Clause” by Lydia Michaels
Rating: 3.75/5
The end is nearing…the end to the Hideaway Harbor series, that is. “The Holiday Clause” is the first book I have read from Lydia Michaels, and it will not be the last because does she know how to write spice or what!
Also, a moment to admire this super cute cover. Honestly. Let’s dig in!
THE SPICE, EVERYONE
I seriously cannot get enough of this holiday town. My favorite aspect of this book was definitely our main character, Wren, owning her own little hotel — it was just so cozy. And of course, the town grump, Greyson. Swoon. We love to see a good grumpy/sunshine storyline. I REALLY liked Wren — she was just so cool and honest. Greyson was swoon-worthy, but he was a little too grumpy at times. It’s Christmastime, man!
This book had the perfect amount of fluff, spice, humor and a little bit of sadness sprinkled in. Because, hey that is life. I think Michaels did a good job of balancing all of the above to great a fun, holiday-filled book.
The romance, the characters, the setting, everything were all fleshed out really well. So, step into Hideaway Harbor once again for “The Holiday Clause.”
