Cassandra Clare fans will have to wait closer to April for The Bane Chronicles to be released. Clare took to tumblr to discuss the highly anticipated 10-story cycle. Among things she mentioned was the story would likely be released closer to April instead of the original thought of February.
I am actually still waiting on some details — the first installment is likely to be out closer to April than February, just because of the amount of time it takes in production to get it ready for Amazon, and the amount of time to create a cover, etc. After that they should come out roughly every month online until there have been ten. At some point after that, for those who do not like reading things online, they will be bound up into a book.
Clare also shared a part of the story written by co-author Sarah Rees Brennan.
You could not tell a potential customer, expecting a learned and ancient magician, that you were not even fully grown. Magnus had started lying about his age young, and never dropped the habit.
It did get a little embarrassing sometimes when he forgot what lie he’d told to who. Someone had once asked him what Julius Caesar was like, and Magnus had stared for much too long and said ‘… Not tall.’ ’
The first story due out will be titled “What Happened in Peru?”
How excited are you to read this? We can hardly contain ourselves!
