Loch Ness, a murder mystery thriller, heads to ITV!
ITV has commissioned a new six-part murder mystery thriller “Loch Ness,” starring “Breaking Bad” thesp Laura Fraser.
The Scotland-set drama, which is penned by “Fortitude” scribe Stephen Brady and overseen by ITV Studios creative director for drama and executive producer Tim Haines (“Beowulf”), follows the story of local detective Annie who is search for a serial killer in a community nourished and sustained by myth. When the body of a local man is found at the foot of the Carn Mohr Mountain and an isolated human heart on the loch shore, the town’s normality is shattered and the nightmare begins.
The program began lensing in June in the Scottish Highlands and received £200,000 ($258,135) in funding from Creative Scotland’s Production Growth Fund.
“Loch Ness” also stars Siobhan Finneran (“Happy Valley”) and John Sessions (“Florence Foster Jenkins”) alongside Don Gilet (“Holby City”), Gray O’Brien (“The Daniel Connection”) and William Ash (“The Tunnel”).
