Before the second season of Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story has even aired FX has renewed the anthology show for season 3.
Season 3 will focus on the July 1997 assassination of legendary designer Gianni Versace. His killer, Andrew Cunanan, committed suicide eight days later as Miami Dade police were on the verge of capturing the serial killer behind five slayings.
The third season will consist of 10 episodes and is set to be released in 2018. This renewal comes Murphy won an Emmy for directing the series debut of People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, with the show going on to win 13 total Emmys.
The upcoming season 2 will deal with Hurricane Katrina.
