Warner Bros has acquired the rights to a novel Tin Men based on a book proposal according to Deadline.
It didn’t take Warner Bros. long to take pre-emptive screen rights to Tin Men, the latest book proposal from NY Times bestselling author Christopher Golden (The Shadow Saga, Body of Evidence) which scored publishing and film deals within a week at auction. Chernin Entertainment will produce with Pete Donaldson with Golden onboard as executive producer; a screenwriter is being sought now to adapt a script from the proposal and novel. On the lit side, Random House won North American publishing rights and will book a hardcover release in spring of 2014. Plot details are under lock and key but Golden’s specialty is YA horror-fantasy thrillers and suspense tales, including numerous comics and novels in Joss Whedon‘s Buffyverse and co-authored works with collaborators including Hellboy creator Mike Mignola (Baltimore, or The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire and Amber Benson (Ghosts Of Albion).
