The Photograph, starring Issa Rae (Insecure, Little) and LaKeith Stanfield (Sorry to Bother You, Knives Out) is a modern-day romance where one woman finds love while uncovering secrets from her family’s past.

Issa Rae plays Mae – a curator putting the pieces of her mother’s history together. Her mother Christina, played by Chanté Adams, was a photographer who didn’t like to stay in one place. LaKeith Stanfield plays a journalist named Michael, who discovers some of Christina’s old photographs – which lead him to Mae.

Written and Directed by Stella Meghie, this film is an authentic story about love that beautifully captures real-life moments as two people get to know each other for the first time. The excitement before a first date. The awkward small talk. Weighing how much to reveal about the past and how much to keep quiet. And woven throughout these interactions – flashbacks to another time and place where the truth is waiting to be discovered.

Hollywood News Source got a sneak peek at the Blu-ray/DVD Bonus features. Here’s what you can expect –
