It is official Superman is coming to CW’s Supergirl meaning that Clark Kent is on his way to National City.

"For The Girl Who Has Everything" -- Kara's (Melissa Benoist, pictured) friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Feb. 8 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg released a statement from the EP team which also includes Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler, the statement says:

“Greg, Ali and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of ‘Supergirl, Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”

While the show said that the sparing appearances of Superman in the first season (never showing his face) was about establishing Kara as her own hero many fans believed it had a lot more to do with DC Films pushing Batman V Superman and the upcoming DC Film Universe which has frequently come into contact with the DC TV series.

The role of Superman/Clark Kent has yet to be cast.
