Nashville has been renewed for Season 6 by CMT.
The decision comes during the Season 5 hiatus with the show set to return to our screens on June 1, 2017. The show has seen a successful transplant from ABC to CMT becoming the highest rated and most watched show on the network which is owned by Viacom. It has also significantly improved the viewership of the channel as a whole.
Jeff Nordling is set to join the show in a recurring role he will play Brad Maitland, an extremely successful, charming, egotistical, narcissistic owner of the most successful record label in Nashville.
Season 6 will consist of 16 episodes as opposed to previous seasons which ran at 22 episodes.
