‘Mr. Robot’ Adds Grace Gummer As New Regular

According to Deadline, Grace Gummer has joined the cast of Mr Robot, Season 2. You can read the full details below:

Extant alum Grace Gummer has signed on as a series regular in the second season of USA Network’s hit drama series Mr. Robot.

Gummer will play Dominique (Dom) DiPierro, a young FBI field agent investigating the Evil Corp Hack. She uses her instinctive skills to try to track down the society members and find answers.

Mr. Robot follows Elliot (Rami Malek), a young programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night. The series is coming off Golden Globe wins for best TV series drama and supporting actor for Christian Slater, and Critics Choice Award wins for best drama series, best actor for Malek and supporting actor for Slater. The series starts production on Season 2 in March in New York City for premiere this summer.
Gummer starred opposite Halle Berry on Extant and recently wrapped production on Confirmation for HBO Films. She also played Nora Ephron in the pilot Good Girls Revolt for Amazon, which was recently picked-up to series. Gummer’s other credits include The Newsroom and American Horror Story and indie films including Francis Ha! and The Homesman, in addition to her many Broadway and off-Broadway theater credits. Gummer is represented by CAA and Anonymous Content.

From Universal Cable Productions, Mr. Robot is from writer and executive producer Sam Esmail and executive producers Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton.
