We have the inside scoop on the host of new characters coming to National City in Supergirl Season 2 as it moves to the CW.

"For The Girl Who Has Everything" -- Kara's (Melissa Benoist, pictured) friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Feb. 8 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. We already covered it, but it is worth noting that one of the new characters will be the Man of Steel himself, not a blurry image or a cape but an actual person. There are five more characters who will be making their mark.

Nick Farrow is a brash reporter in his more famous father’s shadow and is trying to reform himself moving away from his spoiled history in a bid to improve himself. It is said that Kara will have a good influence on him.

Lena Luthor, yes the sibling of THAT Luthor comes into town again to make a name for herself outside of the influence of her infamous brother (seems almost like a theme). She is described as attractive and intelligent  but what does she want?

The last three are Snapper Carr a veteran journalist recruited by Cat to revamp her news output (and possibly to cover the fact we will be seeing a lot less of Calista Flockhart due to the filming move to Canada). The head of Project Cadmus (mentioned towards the end of the season) where aliens and humans are experimented on, she is known for now as The Doctor. Last but not least is the character Maggie who is one of the newly introduced Science Police, law enforcement specifically tasked of dealing with metahuman and alien crime.
