John Fusco to Adapt Children’s Book ‘PAX’ by Sara Pennypacker

Deadline reported, John Fusco will write the screenplay of PAX. It will be the film adaptation of the popular children’s book of the same title. 

Sidney Kimmel Entertainment is producing

The story, which focuses on themes of love and defining family, follows a boy who is separated from his pet fox and their independent struggles to find each other again during the devastation of war. In writing Pax, which is Latin for “peace,” Pennypacker had been inspired by reports of children injured, displaced and orphaned by wars and decided to write a book chronicling the devastation of war on children through the eyes of a boy and his pet fox.

PAX is written by Sara Pennypacker and illustrated by Jon Klassen.
