Hulu Cancels ‘Deabeat’ After Three Seasons

by on

deadbeat-season-2Deadline reports, Hulu finally called it quits after three seasons of airing for Deabeat. The full seasons will still be available for streaming on Hulu for the time being. You can read the full scoop below:

Hulu has opted not to renew original comedy series Deadbeat for a fourth season. Because of the nature of the streaming service, cancellation does not mean going into oblivion as it does on a traditional network. The produced three seasons of Deadbeat will remain available on Hulu for years to come.

The supernatural comedy starring Tyler Labine was a leftover from the previous Hulu regime and Hulu’s early days of an original programming player with lower-budget comedy series.

Deadbeat was a breakout hit when it debuted in April 2014. The show became possible when Lionsgate TV came on board after Hulu had been trying to get a studio to produce the script by Cody Heller and Brett Konner, from Plan B and Dakota Pictures.
