ATTENTION SHADOWHUNTERS! This is NOT a drill!

Not only did we get the TV show we deserved after a not-so-stellar film, we got a new book in the same universe titled Lady Midnight (which if you haven’t read, you need to, STAT!) but we also recently got the announcement of a NEW series by the Queen herself, Cassandra Clare. And this is probably the greatest news we’re heard all year in the book world. Our favorite and one and only, MAGNUS BANE is getting his own series and will be for ADULTS!

The trilogy is slated for release November 2017, and and will be co-written by Wesley Chu, author of The Lives of Tao. We at Hollywood News Source are brimming with excitement for this much-anticipated series!

From an exclusive press release to Entertainment Weekly:

“Over the years writing the Shadowhunter books, Magnus Bane has emerged as one of the most fun and fascinating characters for me to bring to life,” Clare says in a release. “He’s always had a lot of secrets — there are so many things we don’t know about Magnus, from the story of his first love to the secrets of his parentage, to the beginning of his relationship with Alec. All those are things I was able to touch on in The Bane Chronicles, but I’m excited to dig in even more deeply in these three volumes devoted to Magnus, his past, his future, and his present.”
