TVLine reports, Brian d’Arcy James has join the cast of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. He’ll play the opposite of Kate Walsh. You can read the full scoop of his role below:

D’Arcy James will play the father of Hannah, a high school student who commits suicide, our sister site Deadline reports. The series’ action centers on a box of audiotapes Hannah sent to her classmates, informing them of the roles they played in her death. To deal with his grief, d’Arcy’s character immerses himself in his work as a pharmacist.

Based on the 2007 young-adult novel by Jay Asher, 13 Reasons Why follows Clay (played by Dylan Minnette, Scandal) as he receives the box of tapes and instructions to pass them along to 12 other students. The project — which has Selena Gomez among its producers — got a straight-to-series, 13-episode order from the streaming video service in October.
