AMC’s The Walking Dead will be back for season 8 as the zombie drama continues to draw in viewers.
The drama averages over 13 million viewers well ahead of other scripted shows. The decision to renew comes before the highly anticipated new season premiere where we will learn which one of Rick’s followers doesn’t survive. The reveal was confirmed to be coming in the premiere by Showrunner Scott Gimple at New York Comic Con.
Season 7 of The Walking Dead premieres Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9/8c, followed by a 90-minute installment of The Talking Dead hosted by Chris Hardwick.
