After somewhat of a hiatus, Amber Tamblyn is back. The actress is set to star in the CBS drama pilot Anatomy of Violence, written and executive-produced by Homeland’s trio Howard Gordon, Alex Gansa, and Alex Cary. Mark Pellington will direct.
Inspired by the nonfiction book by Adrian Raine, the 20th TV-produced drama centers on Raines (Ulrich), a maverick FBI Criminal Psychiatrist with an expertise in sociopaths who partners with Abby (Tamblyn), a young female FBI Agent with whom he shares a conflicted past. Abby joined the Bureau after watching her sister get traumatized at the hands of a gunman thirteen years ago. Anatomy of Violence brings Tamblyn back to CBS where she broke out as the star of drama series Joan Of Arcadia, which earned her an Emmy nomination.
